What is the Flash Fiction Institute?
The Flash Fiction Institute is an online school dedicated to the art of short fiction. Our courses offer a blend of live, interactive workshops and self-paced classes designed to help writers of all levels hone their craft in writing short-form fiction. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced writer, we provide a supportive environment to explore the world of flash fiction.
How long are the courses, and what is the typical time commitment?
The length and time commitment vary depending on the course you choose. Our live online courses typically run between 6 and 10 weeks, with weekly live sessions and additional reading and writing assignments. Self-paced courses can be completed at your own speed, but we recommend setting aside 2-4 hours per week to get the most out of the material. We also offer one-day workshops.
